RMIT University’s School of Engineering invites applications for a fully funded PhD scholarship focused on the multiscale modelling of high-performance mechanical metamaterial composite structures. This research aims to advance the development of innovative mechanical metamaterials with significant applications in aerospace, civil engineering, automotive systems, mechanical engineering, and energy technologies.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• GPA above 80/100
• Proficiency in composite materials and structures, Matlab, and finite element analysis
• IELTS score of at least 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in each band), or equivalent
• Research publications or relevant experience are advantageous
• Preference for applicants currently residing in Australia
• Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Scholarship Details:
• Full tuition fee waiver
• Tax-free living allowance for three years (extendable to 3.5 years)
